Blessed 

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” ‭‭James‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Today I am home with my little boy who has an infection as well as some issues with his foot due to stepping on a piece of glass. Nothing too serious, but warranted some mommy time and rest. Yesterday, my husband took him to the doctor, which also included X-rays and a consultation from the Pediatrist. As crazy as it was this mommy was a little choked up wondering what was going on with her baby. At the end of the day all will be well with prayer, time and the  prescribed medications. 

A thought just came to me as I heard my boys chatting and begging for a snack. What if it wasn’t ok? What if the news we got was not good. In this unpredictable life the only constant Rock we have is God. We can let the “what ifs” consume us or look around to see the many blessings He has bestowed. 

So today as I snuggle with my boys and enjoy being their mommy I am so grateful “every gift.” I know it is not because of my skills or merit, but His blessings. And no matter what tomorrow holds, I know that He holds it! And that makes me blessed today and tomorrow.
