“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.” Proverbs 18:10 ESV
I have two young boys. My husband and I have been training them to stay in their beds at night. They are doing well, but sometimes they have a bad dream or just become frightened and come running to our door.
As a mother I know the feeling of comfort that can be felt when I just hold them. Although, I cant shield them from all the bad things in the world, that moment where I hold them and they fall peacefully back to sleep is so precious.
As I read the scripture above, I can imagine myself running into the arms of Jesus. What a promise we have that the righteous have shelter in him. Whatever the situation or storm, although it may not end right now, we can find peace in His name.
Whatever you are going through today there is a place of refuge. No matter what caused your current turmoil you can find a place of forgiveness and peace in His name.
