“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3 KJV

I was recently speaking with someone who had made some pretty big mistakes in their life. These mistakes had huge consequences and included a considerable amount of prison time. During this time they developed a deep relationship with Jesus and lead many people to Him. The time has been served and they are now on the other side of a long journey. It was so interesting to hear them speak of their experience. Although they would never had chosen to go through such an experience it is so amazing how you can clearly see Gods hand in their life. God was truly able to make beauty from ashes.
