The Perfect Gift

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.”

Psalms‬ ‭103:2-5, 8, 11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

‘Tis the season for gift giving. Some people are “easy” to buy for, others more difficult. I feel that I am pretty easy to buy for, but my husband does not quite agree. As we were looking through a list of “what to buy her for under $10” he kept saying “you actually like that?”

Millions of people around the world have made their list of wants and some needs. Those lists are full of gadgets, toys and trinkets that will likely be broken or forgotten by next Christmas.

So what is the “perfect gift?” A gift that everyone really needs? A gift that anyone can afford? A gift that will never grow old and will actually be beneficial as you grow? Let’s play a game! I will tell you about it and you guess.

It forgives.

It heals.

It redeems

It satisfies.

It’s merciful

It’s gracious.

The list goes on and on…. did you guess it? It’s Jesus, give them Jesus.

As you wrap your gifts this year, wrap them in prayer. Tell those around you about the baby born to save them from their sins. Shout to the world the wonderful blessings of knowing the Savior. Don’t forget in your relentless search for the perfect gift, that he truly is the perfect gift. Give them Jesus!!!
