“Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!”1 Chronicles 16:8-11 ESV
It is that time of the year when one moment we are all being thankful for what we have and the next making lists for what we want. I admit even though I am richly blessed just before writing this I was looking into a gift my husband could purchase for me.
As I opened up my daily reading this scripture spoke loudly to me. “Seek his presence continually…” The verses prior to this one urge us to give thanks and share the wonderful works He has done in our lives. How often our selfish desires can over shadow what God has already done.
Today I want to be a seeker. I want to seek His presence rather than the shallow things life can offer. I want to remember all he has done and share it with those around me. Today, be a seeker.
