We shall reap…

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. (Department of Labor website)”

As I thought about Labor Day and all the millions of people taking time off their jobs and relaxing with friends and family it made me think about how different labor is in HIS kingdom.

The laws of his kingdom are different than the laws of the natural. You could work your whole life to obtain riches and possessions, but in a moment it can all be washed away. You could work tirelessly on a project at work and see no fruit to your labor.

In His kingdom we have a promise. “In due season we shall reap!” What a promise!! Keep sowing! Keep working in His kingdom. Despite what we see or feel the promise says if we faint not we SHALL reap. We do not know the time or season for harvest, but if we keep sowing there will be a harvest. Your labor is not in vain. Hold on to the promise, we shall reap!

Today on this natural Labor Day, remember to keep sowing his word! Keep working in the kingdom! Let the promise of a harvest inject a new passion to reach the world. For what we sow in His kingdom has an earthly promise and eternal rewards.
